Earthquake Of 4.4 Magnitude Hits Santa Rosa, California
Santa Rose felt the tremble on the evening of Tuesday, 13th September 2022. The Sonoma County shake hit at around 06:30 PM at the depth of estimated 4.6 miles as stated by USGS. The tremors could be felt all over the Bay Area including the locations of San Rafael, Calistoga, San Francisco, Hercules, San Bruno and Vallejo. People from the affected area shared their experience as one user on Twitter stated that she could feel the tremor in her seat while she was sitting at Oracle Park. An earthquake hit around 1 minute after the original jolt.

As per the reports, that 3.9 tremors were measured in the same place or area by the United States Geological Survey. Santa Rose Fire Department stated on Twitter that they were responding to several reports of fire alarms, and gas leaks that struck elevators as well as gas leaks. Paul Lowenthal, the Fire Marshal stated soon after the tremor hit, the Fire department got many calls for service. Fire officials stated that there were no fires as a consequence of the information of gas odour or gas leaks. There were no reports of wounds connected to the tremor around 07:22 PM. Some citizens explained the tremor as a violent quake that lasted for around 10 seconds after by the earthquake.

Fortunately, there were no reports of human loss as well as chief damage to properties. There are some videos that are getting viral on social media which show some effects of tremors which included toppled figures on the floor of the citizens of Slater Street and curved photos on the wall. Several people noticed some damage but fortunately not a large one. Leslie Melodia a citizen of Santa Rose stated that she find cracks in her house walls after the earthquake. Melodia stated, “The animals were behaving weird, so I let my dogs be in the backyard. After that 10 seconds later I had to hold the door of my kitchen.” Fortunately, people are fine.
