In the McWilliams Farm, a lot of damage was reported, as the wind blew away sheds and also rain knocked down several barns and buildings as well. Animals on the farms were trapped inside the fallen buildings and barns. Firefighters helped several animals stuck in the farm’s sheds and also helped them build a temporary stay. Troy McWilliams described the incident and said on the CTV News that he saw a huge dust wall moving towards them and also that he wasn’t able to see the neighbor’s houses or anything in that area. He said that his goats and mare were fine and he thanked God for that.
Ottawa Tornado Injury Update
Across Ottawa, several trees, roads, sidewalks, and litter were reported damaged. One of the residents said that he had a huge Maple tree in his backyard and it fell on his house. After which rescuers helped in getting the tree pulled, leaving back a huge hole in the owner of the house. Only his daughter’s room was damaged. Jackie Perez CTV News shared the pictures from the damaged areas and shared how the area was damaged. Apart from this Ottawa Hunt and golf club were also damaged. The club owners shared pictures of how trees have fallen across the area on their Instagram accounts. They also shared that the storm caused huge destruction to their course. Pinecrest cemetery was also severely damaged because of the storm. The cemetery which is situated on Greenbank Road and Baseline road was severely damaged. The photos shared showed headstones and downed trees. The roads near the cemetery were also blocked because of the storm. The storm caused a huge loss to the city and the nearby places as well. People shared their views and also showed how destruction was caused. Many houses faced power cuts as well.
