Who Is Clare Ogden?
Clare Ogden, a 40-year-old female police officer who was on duty shot a video of herself showcasing her private moments in the bathroom of a police station. The officer who was meant to be on her duty was in the bathroom self-satisfying herself and the video lasts 5-7 seconds long. This video in no time gained massive attention after it was aired online. Soon, Ogden was fired from her position. She also shared crucial information about a case that she said that was funny or entertaining to a group of people online. This act was also considered gruesome as some cases information going public is not acceptable. She was fired to never get back to the uniform.

Last Thursday there was a trial heard in which Ogden was found guilty of sharing crucial information about the department and also sharing her private moments online. When asked about why she shared the crucial information from the department online, Ogden answered it she found the case amusing. Ogden added that she will regret those seven seconds of herself shared online shameful and also she will regret it her whole life. She also said that although the video was not meant to be shared online, the information she shared online about a case was not shared with commoners but with a group of police officers, because she just found it funny.
Why Was Cleveland Officer Clare Ogden Fired From Her Position?
Ogden is not from a regular family but her parents as well are a part of the police community. Her mother served a total of 17 years in the police line and her father as well as a police officer. Her parents resigned just this year in June 2022. Ogden added that she was just using the bathroom when she shot the video. It was also mentioned during the trial that she followed up with the computer or the system of the police station later after she shot the video. John Bonner, the chief detective added that although Ogden does not hold any criminal record, it is for safety purposes that they are going to investigate her files and her belongings as well. Panel chairman Stephen Gowland added that the information was shared online which was crucial .eh continued by saying that often people treat officers with great respect and such an act would ruin the reputation of eth officer. The main concern here was the information shared online to which he added that, people share their private matters online and which is shameful as well, sharing such information online and with commoners as well would be shameful and also disrespectful. He added that sharing such information would be dimming the image and also the trust that commoners have when they share their private stuff.
